A custom injection molding company is currently seeking an innovative individual that demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving and processing for the position of Plastic Injection Molding Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will support injection molding process development, process improvement and operator training.

The Injection Molding Process Engineer is responsible for the complete set-up, change over, adjustment, and troubleshooting of mold tooling in plant injection molding machines, as well as related auxiliary equipment. This position is responsible for debugging new mold tools, establishing molding process parameters, and reviewing existing jobs for process improvements, as well as, acting as a resource to other departmental personnel in troubleshooting problem molding jobs. In addition, the Injection Molding Process Engineer will assist with automation, developing robotic path motions, testing procedures, and documenting results.

Requirements

A contract medical device plastic injection molding company is searching for an Automation Engineer to handle; project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through the full scope of project management until proven production ready. The Automation Engineer’s main focus and responsibility lies in design of manufacturing cells, End of Arm design for robotics, integration of robotics and work cells and design of automation. This position also is responsible for continuous improvement, robotics and cell support while in manufacturing.

AUTOMATION ENGINEER KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify areas of waste in our manufacturing processes to include but not be limited to scrap and reject reduction, equipment downtime, earned hours per employee and process/equipment changeovers.
  • Prioritize and manage projects and tasks necessary to deliver to the need of the customer(s). Efficiently utilizes available resources and engineering tools.

    A growing manufacturer of plastic injection and blow molding equipment serving the United States Market is searching for four Field Service Engineers. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) works closely with the Technical Manager, supporting the company’s internal and external customers through-out North and South America, as well as globally when required with efficient, accurate and timely completion of technical tasks. • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles – such as kaizen, value stream mapping, 6S, error proofing, total productive maintenance, waste elimination, visual factory, six sigma, and pull scheduling, value stream mapping, and cell design.
• Experience participating in and/or leading teams in the execution of equipment installation projects
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to top management, internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
• Proficiency with problem solving-tools such as root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis, TQM, Statistical Process Control.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and possess ability to interact with all team members.
• Ability to use 3D CAD for plant layout and design.
• Familiarity with molding machines and auxiliary equipment in order to make process improvements and sound purchasing recommendations.
• Six Sigma knowledge preferred, with formal training and/or certificate.
• Computer literate – good PC skills – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoin
