Design Engineer – Elkton, MD

A company that manufactures precision plastic canisters for proprietary use via plastic injection molding and a urethane casting processes wants to hire a Design Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for product design and designing molds used in the plastic injection molding operation. The Design Engineer must be able to use CAD Creo or Solid Works to make the product and tooling designs.

Field Service Engineers – Anywhere in the United States
    A growing manufacturer of plastic injection and blow molding equipment serving the United States Market is searching for four Field Service Engineers. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) works closely with the Technical Manager, supporting the company’s internal and external customers through-out North and South America, as well as globally when required with efficient, accurate and timely completion of technical tasks. Through expert technical aptitude (electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical), the FSE will accurately, efficiently and cost effectively satisfy market needs through product quality and service such as after-sales support, troubleshooting and technical aspects of implementation and repair of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, following protocol and procedures. The Field Service Engineers can work out any location as long as they have reasonable access to an airport.

 Field Service Responsibilities: including but not limited to the following:

Assist service department to support customers, with knowledge, in industrial equipment aspects of installation, replace, maintain, troubleshoot and repair of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mechanical equipment including but not limited to robots or programmable controllers, numeral controls, pipe systems, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, power supplies, drives, and related equipment; PLC programming and analysis where necessary and/or solve production issues and process improvements.

– Interpret customer production, layout and processing data to advise on options and alternatives for product installation, operation or repair for customer service support.

– Assist with analytical engineering consultation, technical input and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical or electronic equipment troubleshooting.

– Be visible and a person known to customers to be purposeful in getting equipment running quickly and effortlessly as possible with a pleasant professional demeanor (by phone and in person) and/or be able to get the correct assistance to solve the issues.

– Blow mold and/or injection mold equipment experience.

– Injection mold rebuild including dismantling, wiring, assembling, cleaning and mold inspection.

Responsible for proper maintenance and storage of tools and machines.

– Issue the technical report after every technical intervention.

– Updating technical knowledge to keep up with technological solutions.

– Support the company business, when required, outside the USA.

The Tooling Engineer will take a customer design from concept, bring it back to the shop and then work with tooling vendors to fabricate the tooling and lead customer molding (sample) trials, delivering solutions on-time and within budget.

Responsibilities
•Manage tool room and inventory of tools and third party production locations.
•Develop and maintain mold standards and mold documentation.
•Develop and approve tooling suppliers, new mold designs or modifications, molding processes and metrology.
•Manage mold construction, mold design review, process design, quality assurance and assembly process.
•Works with customer blueprints / specifications to generate design and cost feedback.
•Ensure all product quality attributes are met and all quality systems are supported.

The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in the plant: leads the installation and startup of new plastic molding and auxiliary equipment, responds to manufacturing issues and concerns to ensure products are produced to specifications in accordance to manufacturing schedules while ensuring efficient use of resources by performing the following duties.

Essential Manufacturing Process Engineer Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods and processes related to plastic injection molding products and assembly of the products.
  • Provides timely, accurate and competitive piece rates for current and developing products.
  • Develops assembly instructions for new products to ensure quality and speedy inspection.

Injection Molding Process Engineer – Grand Island, NE

A manufacturer of injection molding plastic fasteners is searching for a Process Engineer.  The Process Engineer will direct and coordinate all plant engineering activities necessary to manufacture product in specification to customer established requirements. Activities shall include injection molding press process development, process validation, process improvements, and process audits to ensure optimum process that meet cost effectiveness and customer requirements.

The Process Engineer’s responsibilities include:Identify, plan, lead and drive process improvements throughout the plant related to processing, processes, and engineering.

  • Retain, direct, supervise, train, and lead plant Process Technicians.

Education and/or Experience

Must have 2 plus years of injection molding process experience using scientific injection molding technologies. Preferably a certification as a Master Molder or a four-year college degree in an applicable science discipline with demonstrated upward progression. Principle Accountabilities:
