Job Description

A large proprietary injection molding company wants to hire two third shift injection molding Automation Technicians to; set-up robots, program robots, and troubleshoot robotic molding processes. Must be fully capable to work on robots, program robots and program PLC’s and work with trainees, as required.

Automation Technician Responsibilities Include:

  • Setting robots in running on plastic injection presses.
  • Training process trainees as required.
  • Troubleshooting robots within molding processes and making basic adjustments to ensure quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting robots and correcting malfunctions and communication information to repair technicians.

Field Service Engineers – Living Anywhere in the United States

A plastic injection blow molding equipment manufacturing is searching for four Field Service Engineers to service the blow molding equipment.  The Field Service Engineer can be located anywhere in the United States, that is accessible to an airport, and can work out of a home office.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) works closely with the Technical Manager, supporting the company’s internal and external customers through-out North and South America, as well as globally when required with efficient, accurate and timely completion of technical tasks. Through expert technical aptitude (electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical), the Field Service Engineer will accurately, efficiently and cost effectively satisfy market needs through product quality and service such as after-sales support, troubleshooting and technical aspects of implementation and repair of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, following protocol and procedures.

Field Service Engineer Essential Functions: including but not limited to the following:

– Assist service department to support customers, with knowledge, in industrial equipment aspects of installation, replace, maintain, troubleshoot and repair of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mechanical equipment including but not limited to robots or programmable controllers, numeral controls, pipe systems, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, power supplies, drives, and related equipment; PLC programming and analysis where necessary and/or solve production issues and process improvements.

– Interpret customer production, layout and processing data to advise on options and alternatives for product installation, operation or repair for customer service support.

– Assist with analytical engineering consultation, technical input and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical or electronic equipment troubleshooting.

– Be visible and a person known to customers to be purposeful in getting equipment running quickly and effortlessly as possible with a pleasant professional demeanor (by phone and in person) and/or be able to get the correct assistance to solve the issues.

– Blow mold and/or injection mold equipment experience.

– Injection mold rebuild including dismantling, wiring, assembling, cleaning and mold inspection.

– Responsible for proper maintenance and storage of tools and machines.

– Trouble-shoot the problem in conjunction with the company technical office remotely or on-site and with Customer on-site technical personnel if required ensuring customer satisfaction.

– Issue the technical report after every technical intervention.

– Updating technical knowledge to keep up with technological solutions.

– Support the company business, when required, outside the USA.

– Support the company business, when not in Field Service, as the business requires.

 Requirements– Must have electrical and mechanical experience and/or equivalent education.

– Aptitude to troubleshoot mechanical issues such as malfunctioning parts, how to dismantle, replace, repair, know stress tolerances, etc. and read/understand schematics.

A company manufacturing consumer plastic packaging products is searching for a Plastic Mold Maintenance Technician  to polish, maintain and repair plastic molds on second shift (1PM – 9PM).

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing mold repair work on cavities and cores due to damage or wear.
  • Noting any changes to molds, inserts, parts, etc.
  • Documenting work and keep accurate records.Dissembling and assembling molds, analyzing and solving basic mold problems including flashing conditions, galling, venting, cooling problems, etc.
  • Assembling, repairing, inspecting, cleaning and polishing molds using skill and care while handling and polishing critical surfaces.Laying out, fabricating and assembling metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models and engineering or shop specification.
  • Using a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Sets up and operates lathes, milling machines, electrical discharge machines, surface and cylindrical grinders.
  • Interpreting drawings, evaluating machining methods on assignments and occasionally instructing other toolmakers and apprentices in the operation and setup of tool room equipment.

Maintenance Technician – Memphis, TN

A company that manufactures; patient products, such as; water service and basins, bedpans and urinals, and bags for hospitals and clinics is searching for a Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician.  The Maintenance Technician provides assistance to ensure the maximum operation and productive life of building facilities and equipment by installing, troubleshooting and repairing blow molding and injection molding machines and using proven hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance on general equipment.  The Maintenance Technician will work a 12 hour shift from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with production supervisor to schedule maintenance operations with minimal production delays.
  • Install, adjust, and repair injection and blow molding machines, trimmers, palletizers, and other related equipment.
  • Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps.
  • Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
  • Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
  • Repair various types of machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, locate root problems, and repair injection and blow molding machines, baggers, and support equipment.
  • May operate blow mold or injection machines.
  • Light welding and fabrication.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.

The Senior Tooling Engineer reports to the Director of Operations and is part of the senior management team for the plant. The Senior Tooling Engineer will lead the activities of tool room employees, contractors or vendors and be responsible for all tool building activities, maintenance and repair. The Sr. Tooling Engineer will also be responsible for customer molding (sample) trials delivering solutions on-time, on budget and in accordance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tool room and inventory of tools and third party production locations.
  • Develop and maintain mold standards and mold documentation.
  • Develop and approve tooling suppliers, new mold designs or modifications, molding processes and metrology.
  • Manage mold construction, mold design review, process design, quality assurance and assembly process. Works with customer blueprints / specifications to generate design and cost feedback.
  • Ensure all product quality attributes are met and all quality systems are supported.
  • Perform analysis on customer returns to determine root cause of failures or complaints.
