Injection Molding Processing Technicians – Springfield, MA


A leading manufacturer of injection molded packaging containers is searching for two Injection Molding Processing Technicians.  The Injection Molding Processing Technicians are responsible for:

  • Auditing machine set-ups and running injection molding equipment per established guidelines
  • Operating equipment at or above standard rates
  • Making process adjustments as needed
  • Training operating and packaging technicians using standard procedures
  • Leading process developments on new parts
  • Communicating to team members as needed
  • Providing shift leadership in absence of shift leader

Injection Molding Manufacturing Engineer – Spartanburg, SC


A rapidly growing plastic closure injection molding manufacturing company is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to; lead expansion efforts, establish thin wall injection molding processes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.

• Analyze work force requirements, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, safety and quality.

• Moves new products into production including; new injection molding equipment installation, work station design and equipment layout.
• Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs and savings to provide information for management decisions.
• Confer with management, quality assurance representatives, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Apply statistical methods including Design of Experiments to estimate future manufacturing requirements, improvements and potential.
• Conduct time studies of both direct and indirect personnel in order to establish work standards.
• Work with customers to answer questions and help to solve problems.
• Lead the implementation of Continuous Improvement to drive measurable improvements in quality, productivity, safety, and product flow.
• Train personnel, and others to perform activities to achieve world-class process flow.
• Develop value stream maps and eliminate process waste through implementation of lean techniques.
• Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration utilizing strength of both methods to achieve business goals.
• Utilize knowledge and hands on experience of the injection molding process to provide solutions to machine, tooling, material, SPC, and production work flow problems.
• Assist in tracking continuous improvement efforts ensuring rapid completion and tracking of results.
• Explore and develop new technology which enables a Lean environment.
• Create and foster a culture of learning and change.
• Utilize effective communication techniques to assure that continuous improvement goals and results are understood.

In addition to an annual salary in the $80,000 to $90,000 range, the company offers competitive benefits and a relocation package.
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles – such as kaizen, value stream mapping, 6S, error proofing, total productive maintenance, waste elimination, visual factory, six sigma, and pull scheduling, value stream mapping, and cell design.
• Experience participating in and/or leading teams in the execution of equipment installation projects
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to top management, internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
• Proficiency with problem solving-tools such as root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis, TQM, Statistical Process Control.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and possess ability to interact with all team members.
• Ability to use 3D CAD for plant layout and design.
• Familiarity with molding machines and auxiliary equipment in order to make process improvements and sound purchasing recommendations.
• Six Sigma knowledge preferred, with formal training and/or certificate.
• Computer literate – good PC skills – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoin
Injection Molding Equipment Maintenance Technician – Springfield, MA


A leading manufacturer of injection molded packaging containers is searching for an Injection Molding Maintenance Technician.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Providing breakdown, corrective and preventive electrical, electronic and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment
  • Participating in the development of concepts which lead to machine modifications and capital projects
  • Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and learning how to apply them
  • Maintaining production and auxiliary equipment in proper and correct working condition with minimal supervision
  • Executing corrective and preventive maintenance work orders according to schedules
  • Performing project work to improve machine operations.
