A custom engineered plastics resin company specializing in precise color matching is searching for a Sales Representative.  The Sales Representative will work out of a home office located anywhere in the sales territory and cover an area in Great Lakes States or Northeastern United States.  The company ships custom colors within 4 weeks or less and standard black and natural resins within 2 weeks. Many black and natural resins are readily available in stock. Additionally, the company has stocking programs available in one of many regional warehouses for even faster shipping and receiving.

Technical Sales Engineer – Schaumburg, IL

A global leader in the plastics industry providing technical business solutions through a holistic approach to the simulation of injection molding processes with proprietary software is searching for a Technical Sales Engineer. The company focuses on building trusting relationships with customers that instills confidence in mold design and production in injection molding. The company also offers contract engineering services and provides customer development through education in our training arena and customer support.

Position Overview

The purpose of the Technical Sales Engineering position is to assist in growing the company’s customer base. This includes conducting and managing projects related to engineering services, software demonstrations, support and a training academy. The Technical Sales Engineer will be working with staff from several areas as well as customers. This position is a stepping stone for future growth within our organization, in areas such as, new business development, customer management, and support. This individual will report directly to the company President.


  • Utilize Virtual Molding Software to setup injection molding analysis on a daily basis to provide insight and solutions to the company’s customer base.
  • Create engineering reports to communicate software capabilities, part details, process variables and final geometry properties.
  • Communicate, facilitate and present technical materials at internal meetings, workshops, seminars, customer locations and conferences.
  • Support the application engineers in technical and sales visit to current and potential new customers.
  • Assist training programs after a reasonable acclamation period.
  • Evaluate lab measured data to understand thermo-physical behavior of polymers.
  • Create polymer material files for project setup.
  • Identify key elements within the material and part nature to consider when adjusting the process parameters.
  • Evaluate analysis results to highlight the material and mold behavior during processing.
  • Determine root cause for potential molding defect on plastic parts.
  • Suggest part design and mold design changes to avoid potential defects.
  • Perform web and live presentations to communicate results and finding to customers.
  • Assist with support calls from existing customers.
  • Travel to customer sites both domestic and abroad if needed. (Up to 25% travel)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Materials, Mechanical or Industrial engineering
  • 2+years or experience of processing polymers through injection molding
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and share knowledge
  • Expertise in trouble shooting plastic parts designs as well as understanding common plastic injection molds components functionality
  • Understanding the flow and mechanical behavior of common manufacturing resins
  • CAD design experience highly valued as well as proficiency using Microsoft office package
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written

Application Development Engineer – Detroit, MI

An automotive plastic resin compounding company specializing in supplying polyolefin resins to the automotive industry is searching for an Application Development Engineer to support the OEM automotive account team.  This is a newly created opening, special training and coaching will be provided in the start-up phase.

The Application Development Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the marketing strategy for a defined OEM group; GM, Ford and Fiat/Chrysler.
  • Accountability for al European and Japanese landed OEM’s in US focused on VW-Daimler-Renault and Nissan.
  • Driving automotive Masterbatched polyolefin resins for Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
  • Developing an OEM market fact base.
  • Developing an OEM and Strategic partnerships.
  • Setting targets and accomplishing actions.
  • Driving launch of new products/solutions in the OEM market.
  • Driving for OEM project portfolios and driving for successful implementation.

Education, Experience and People Skill requirements:

  • Technical four year degree.

Business Development Manager – Manchester, NH

A certified manufacturer of custom components and assemblies for the medical device industry is searching for a Business Development Manager.  Company specialties include; silicone molding (LSR & HCR), medical rubber molding, long-term implantable molding of both silicone and thermoplastics, silicone extrusion, with a focus on combining multiple processes into two-material products.  The ideal candidate will live in the New England area and provide excellent service to existing and potential customers within the territory.

The Business Development Manager will:
• Develop and continue relationships with key customers, pursue leads and potential customers in territory.
• Use existing and new sales tools to identify new opportunities and pursue for results. Build and maintain customer accounts, contacts, opportunities, activity, progress and track business activity in CRM. Properly qualify all customers’ requests for quotes.
• Work with internal team, across the organization, to communicate customer needs and specifications required for quoting purposes.
• Be point of contact with customers to monitor expectations and address questions and requests in timely manner.
• Visit key customers quarterly (at a minimum) to manage account, solicit additional business and follow up on existing projects.
• Attend trade shows, seminars and sales meetings as directed to increase  exposure, follow up on possible leads, maintain relationships and successfully secure additional business.

Requirements• A minimum of 5 years of thermoplastic molding manufacturing or engineering sales experience including 2 years in the medical device industry.
