Injection Molding Machine Operator – Spartanburg, SC

Description

Due to growth a plastics injection molding closure manufacturing company is searching for an Injection Molding Machine Operator to set up and operate molding machines on a 12 hour night shift (2 nights on, followed by 3 nights off, followed by 3 nights on, followed by 2 nights off, etc.)., and be able to:

  • Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
  • Ensures machines are running as per production schedule
  • Make adjustments within process tolerances
  • Responding to machine alarms
  • Troubleshoot and monitor injection molding machines and downstream equipment
  • Conducting and documenting quality checks at set intervals
  • Documentation of production paperwork
  • Daily and weekly sanitizing of machines and molds
  • Issuing work orders for machine, molds, and safety issues
  • Dispose of scrap into proper containers
  • Housekeeping duties performed throughout shift
  • Good Manufacturing Practices are followed at all times
  • Document machine issues
  • Ensure lines are set up and verified per company requirements
  • Packaging and tagging of product

In addition to a hourly rate in the $21 to $22 range, the company offers a very competitive health care package, a 401k with matching after 6 months.

Requirements:
Education

High school diploma is preferred

Paulson training preferred

 

Skills

Good mathematical skills

Good mechanical aptitude

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office programs

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work standing for 12 hour shifts

 

Experience

2 – 5 years manufacturing experience in injection molding preferred

Experience in plastics manufacturing running multiple machines at once preferred

Living in the Spartanburg, SC immediate area
