Account Manager – Greenville, SC

Description

The Account Manager is responsible for all sales functions in assigned accounts or regions by managing quality and consistency of product and service delivery under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer.  Account Manager responsibilities include; acquisition and commercialization, pre-sales management, customer relationship building and management, technical customer support, market studies, exhibitions and events, product management, and marketing communications for the company’s products in North America, Mexico and possibly Latin America.

The Account Manager may be able to work out of a home office depending on location of the home office.

Description

A manufacturer of plastic closures is searching for a Cradle-to-Grave Project Manager to work directly with the company’s key customer to design and develop plastic closures, and the injection molding tooling to manufacture them.  Ideally, the Project Manager would be based in Cincinnati, OH but the Project Manager could be located in a home office if they were in reasonable commuting distance, e.g. Indianapolis, IN, Columbus, OH, Louisville, KY, etc.  The home office would have to include a CAD station with a current version of SolidWorks software.

Primary Functions:

  • Develop customer technical intimacy with US based packaging development teams.
  • Design and develop plastic closures using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Liase with Mold suppliers to develop innovative product solutions.
  • Project Management of new custom products through collaboration with customers.
  • Manage,direct, and coordinate projects from start-to-finish.

Reporting to the Director of Materials Research, the Manager of Global Rubber Development, Rolls is responsible for the management of the development of new products and processes in the area of rubber roll covers and other industrial applications.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Global Rubber Development group for Rubber Rolls

•Monitor critical process parameters on the injection machines and secondary systems
•Establish optimum calculated alarm parameters around the baseline process
•Conduct process related training for operators
•Work with outside suppliers, machine manufacturers, and company management
•Execute sample requests issued and process related activities focused on identifying root cause
•Participate in mold and product design/drawing reviews when required
•Advanced process analysis: identifying process improvements that result in cost savings, improved part quality, and improvement of related KPI’s
•Lead role in implementing process improvements that result in cost savings and improved quality
•Assume a key role in the PFMEA Process when required

This is a 12 hour first shift position (2 days on, followed by 3 days off, followed by 3 days on, followed by 2 days off, etc.).

Skills:
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
•Mold setting and establishing injection molding process parameters
•Effective organizational skills with an attention to detail
•Advanced injection molding knowledge related to troubleshooting and resin behavior
•Advanced problem-solving skills focused on root cause analysis and lessons learned
•Working knowledge of basic injection molding Hydraulic/ Electric/ Pneumatic presses and Vision Systems

Experience
•A mininum of 3 – 5 years experience with injection mold machine processing, mold setting and secondary equipment operation
•ISO type quality systems
•RJG Molding experience
