An manufacturer of plastic blow molded products for the automotive industry and for consumers is searching for a first shift and a second shift Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that accumulator head blow machines continue to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently. Complete mechanical repairs and maintenance of machinery and building.
In addition to an hourly rate in the $25 to $30 range, the company offers a sign-on bonus, and very good benefits.
Inspect, operate and test accumulator head blow machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions, including:
∙Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and/or power tools.
∙Visually inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions.
∙Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
∙Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
∙Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
∙Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
∙Dismantle defective machines and installs new or repaired parts, following specification and blueprints.
∙Perform work as assigned by maintenance/plant manager.
∙A minimum of 2 years of accumulator head blow molding machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
∙Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
∙Keeping up to date technically and the ability to apply new knowledge.
