The world leader in the manufacture of plastic automotive body components, and fuel systems is searching for an Injection Molding Process Engineer to manage the design and the adaptations of the injection molding process, tooling and equipment setup in the plants. In addition, the Injection Molding Process Engineer will be responsible for:
•Defining and implementing the injection processes for projects in development.
•Developing injection culture within Industrial and Development Departments
•Deploying the design to manufacture and the design to costs approaches in collaboration with Product Development (PAE)
•Participating in the product engineering (in design phase) in order to guarantee product manufacturability.
•Import the best practices and standards of PO
•Transferring the injection process and the know-how to the production plants
•Continuously improving the efficiency and department skills
• Participate to the product design during Phases 1, 2 and 3 for optimization in manufacturing and function
•Defining injection process, the capacitary means and their tools
•Adapting the methodological tools (DFM&A, PFMEA) to the injection business, capitalize expertise and share with other functions
•Adapting resources and organization to optimize costs and level the workload.
•Developing training modules for industrial department and for factories
•Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to optimize the cost and the performances of the injection processes (Design to Manufacture / Cost)
•Ensure technology survey
•Assisting costing department during RFQ phase
•Auditing suppliers and manage the panel in cooperation with the purchasing department
•Assisting purchasing department for Make or Buy studies
